My Maths this term

Kia ora whanau and today, I am going to share my maths work you and what I have been learning this term.

I have been learning about decimals. I have been putting these random decimals from smallest to biggest. For example: 7.7, 8.4, 2.6, 1.9, 5.7, 6.7,  4.9. It was hard to figure the numbers out but I give it a medium.

Next thing I have been doing is I have been putting numbers in the right place in the numbers value chart. Example: 129386. I have been learning to put big numbers in a expanded form. Example: 13928

1. H         T       O       T        H       TH               10000+3000+900+20 8 =   13928

      1             2          9          3            8             6

You can learn from these too. These are easy as so you will be able to get it. Hope you have a wonderful day guys. Ka kite ano

Friends

What is Taha Whanau?
Taha Whanau is who makes you feel you. Whanau is about extended relationships and people who loves you to their heart.

Why are "Good friend" Relationships so important?
Friendship has a huge impact on your health and joy. Without them, it prevents loneliness and sadness.

Why is respect so important for all ( not just friends) of our relationships?
Because being respected by people in our lives growing up teaches us how to be respectful to others. Respect means that you respect others on who they are : )

Good friends never judge you, is loyal, is kind and respectful to you, someone whose company you enjoy and is trustworthy and willing to tell you the truth, even when it's hard for you to hear.

Good friends are like stars. You don't always see them, But you know they're always there.

Chilli

Kia Ora whanau and today, I will give you a look of these images of the hottest chilli peppers in the world.

Carolina Reaper is the most popular and hottest chilli in the world! Almost no one can beat the chilli.

Milk could be a solution when eating spicy foods---literally. That's because milk helps your mouth handle capsaicin, an oily chemical compound in chilli peppers. Capsaicin binds to a receptor in the tounge and creates a burning sensation. Casein protein found in milk can also bind to the capsaicin and wash it away

Matariki

Matariki is the Maori celebration New year for all New Zealanders. Matariki is the 7 stars that you will see right above the sun. Before they were stars, they were all sisters. Tupuanuku, Tupuarangi, Waiti, Waita, Waipunarangi, Ururangi and Matariki. Matariki is the oldest sister of them all, that's why we call it Matariki. On the other side, people say that there were 9 stars. The other 2 were Pohutukawa and Hiwa-i-te-rangi. This month, me and my class will be celebrating Matariki.

Matariki is about the people who has passed and is now a celebration about it! Matariki heralds a time of remembrance, joy and peace. It is time for communities to come together and celebrate!

You can celebrate Matariki if you would like or with your family. Anyone, even people who isn't Maori can join this celebration event. Hope you have a great holiday!

Wood-tech term2

Kia ora whanau and today, I will blogging about what I have created in wood-tech. Weeks ago, we have been working on creating our own blue-tooth speaker. It actually works and you should try it. It can be difficult, hard or easy but I think it was like difficult and easy at the same time. Now i get to listen to music, Yay!

You get to paint and customise your speaker once you finish putting the outside parts together. Some my friends helped me with the parts that I was stuck on. If you guys get stuck on anything, ask for help. My friends had the same thing so I wanted to help them too.

Step 1. Grab a 6 piece of wood and size them (that depends on how big you want you speaker to be).

Step 2. Drill the holes in the top left, top right, bottom right and bottom left.

Step 3. Once you have drilled the holes in, drill 1 little hole in the front middle and 1 big hole next to it.

Step 4. Next thing is to make big GIANT holes on the top and the bottom and the 2 big and small holes in between.

Step 5. Next part is to paint, spray paint or whatever you would like to style it and yea

The Bully

Kia Ora whanau, and today, I am going to tell you about a bully. This bully is mean and yucky. Please read till the end of the poem 😀.

This bully seems aggressive and harmful to others. He does not like being alone I see and he picks on little kids. There are bystanders in this poem. This bully push into people's boundaries so that means he is trying to be overpowered then all of them.

If I saw this bully, I would've told him to stop politely and then become his friend because he is alone. I would tell him that bullying in making things worse and will make him even more lonely. Not all bullies are mean. Some bullies are lonely and does not know how to make friends. Make sure to stand up for yourself and others to defeat them.

Ka Kite ano ❤

Friends

Kia Ora whanau and today, Me and my form class were practising friendship and it went pretty well. We were viewing on what a fake and nice friend would say if there was a situation. Friendship is important is you are lonely and nice friends can help you and even become you best friends. You can have even more bbf's/ Best friends forever than one.

How I have been a good friend this week is that one of my best friends was hurt by someone's words. They were calling her relatives names and stuff like that and I was hurt too. I jumped in and helped her after the who situation happened and she was okay. Friends can't be good friends if they do 1 or 2 good things in a lifetime or they aren't a good friend. They can be nice to you. Fake friends are like bystanders. If you don't know what a bystander is, A bystander is a person who just stands there when a situation and acts like nothing is happening.

People like me hates bystanders and I know that you do too. Your Good friends are Upstanders. If you don't know what that is then I will explain it to you....

An Upstander is a person who supports and help people in bad situations and is like the opposite of a Bystander. If you would like to become a Upstander then please do and If you want to become a Bystander, then its you choice but you will face the consequences. Remeber to be a Upstander, Not a Bystander!

Thank you everybody for reading my Blog!! Ka Kite ano!!!
