ReplyDeleteKia Ora Mikhanya. Well done on completing a daily challenging. How are you finding them? Which one interested you? I found it fascinating that Kiwi's are the only bird to have nostrils at the end of their beaks. Why do you think that is?

Hi Miss Butler, Thank you for your reply. I think that kiwis have noses at the end of their beaks because their noses are located at their beaks.
ReplyDeleteHi Mikhanya. I did a bit of research for us and found out that Kiwi's actually have poor eye sight. So this means they have nostrils at the end of their beaks so they can find worms and other foods deep in the dirt using their sense of smell. Pretty cool aye! Have you learned anything new and exciting whilst in the last few weeks?
