In Science we are learning about Change.Change happens when we mix or combine two different reactants (substances together). When this happens a chemical reaction takes place.

Chemical reactions

                                                 I am starting to learn about science
                                 and change.This is what I found out today. what new imformation
                                                can someone tell me?


                                                  chemical reactions:
                                         When solids,liquids or gas change
                                            into something else.

                                    reactants: something that is used up during a chemical reactions.
   
                                    product:A substance that is formed when a chemical reaction happens.
                                                     
                                                     


                           

Belonging Day

belonging day
On belonging day we all met at the senior field.
Next matua Willie told all of us that what´s going to happen.
he said,¨the pit was filled with hot irons and wood. 'The pit is burned for 3 hours.
when we were waiting we had our performing and the parents were waiting too.
First it was the story tellers and then the kapahaka started.It had lots of waiata and karakia.
After that the belle rang and then we all had a karakia again.So we had our hangi and it
was delicious and yummy. After eating Hangi, we played on the senior playground then the bell rang again.

So we had another performance! It took quite long. I really enjoyed Belonging Day

pepeha

This term we have been learning about our culture and  preparing our Pepeha I have enjoyed learning all the new language in Maori. 

Marshmallow secret writing.

I heard Mr. Goodin crack open the packet of marshmallows.

I smelt the sweet, powdery marshmallows.

I wondered if I went to marshmallow land, 'would I see a marshmallow with a face, arms, legs and feet'?

When Mr.Goodin opened the packet of marshmallows, I smelt the sweet,powdery, yummy marshmallows.

After that, we tasted the marshmallows. We finished eating them and after that we tidied up.

The experience made me feel very happy!
