Self Esteem
Today in Inquiry, we had to change Inquiry groups. I went into Self Esteem. We had to go into a padlet to say what Self Esteem is. Self Esteem is what you like about yourself. What we did next was a activity sheet. The activity sheet was about what you like about yourself. Maybe you can do Self Esteem too.
Mr Indifferent
Mr Indifferent is a gloomy person. He is always depressed and he always ignores people. He has brown
hair and has grey and black clothes. He is sometimes rude and grumpy.

One day it was normal with Mr Indifferent. He was about to walk on the road but an old lady grabbed
his hand and walked with him. She was as slow as a snail and Mr Indifferent was getting bored.

When they were walking and then the sign said to stop! A car was speeding past all the cars on the side.
Before the car nearly tried to hit them, Mr Indifferent took his hands out of his pockets and the cars
stopped.

The old lady thanked him and Mr Indifferent smiled for the first time.
He was happy with his hands out of his pockets.
He did lots of different things and also did not put his hands in his pockets ever again.

Brain Teaser
Today in maths, we had to do a brain teaser. I found it hard because I had to find a way to add up the numbers to 100 and type how many darts should add up to 100. I think you have to hit the dart on the 24 3 times and then 1 shot at the sixteen.

Hockey 2020
Today in homerooms, we started to do hockey. There was a person called Will who was going to teach us some dribbling. He was from the Canterbury hockey in New Zealand.
Halswell Quarry 2020
Halswell Quarry
When I heard that there was another trip to halswell quarry,
I started to moan because last year it was tiring but at least we found all of them.
We had to go quickly because there wasn’t much time left. When we got on the bus,
it took about half an hour or something. When we got there, we all sat down on the area we
all are supposed to be on and the teachers talked to us for some information about the big
long walk we were about to be doing. We began with groups, I went with Mrs Jones and
Miss Mclelland. We got started and headed off!! The first round was easy but really long!
We had to go up to number 14 from number 1. While we were walking, we found a number
and behind it (kinda) was a dirty canoe. At the end, we had morning tea. The second round
was medium than the first one. I never enjoyed it because it was worse than round 1. When
we were in the middle of it, we found a big giant field in the middle of halswell quarry. It was
so big that it could almost fit lots of people from New Zealand. We finished, We had lunch and
Me and my friends were talking about the last round. Some of my friends didn’t come last year
so they didn’t know what was going to happen next but I did. At the end, we had to walk up this
BIG hill and the last round wasn’t easy. When we reached the end, we figured out that we didn’t
get all the numbers. We went back to school tired and went home.
