The History of Hans Lipperhsey

The Telescope Was First Patented in 1608

Dutch eyeglass maker Hans Lippershey (or Lipperhey) is widely credited as the first person to patent a telescope in 1608.

His device, called a killer  ("looker"), was, according to Hans, able to magnify an image up to three times.

Hans lippershey died in 1619. He died in Middleburg, Netherlands in 1619 at the age of 50. A lunar crater

He settled in Middelburg, the capital of the province of Zeeland, now in the Netherlands, in 1594, married the same year and became a citizen of Zeeland in 1602.

According to the story, Lippershey tried it himself and realized the amazing possibilities.

He then placed a tube between the lenses to make a telescope. Lippershey called his invention a "kijker", meaning "looker"
in Dutch and in 1608, applied for a patent with the Belgian government.

The Birthday Party

Who: Mikhanya

Where: I am at My little sisters Bday party.

Pop, Bang, Woosh! Goes the party blowers. I am at Athena’s Birthday.

I see a Birthday Party and I see a lot of people.

I feel shy and worried because I have never been to a big birthday party before (I actually have). 

I smell cake and lollies everywhere, Well it is the thing I smell right now.

I hear people whispering”This what I got for Mikhanya’s sister”

I wonder If this was a birthday like nobody has had before.

I wish I had a party like this.

I hope we get to bounce on the bouncy castle after eating Athena’s birthday cake.

Bang, Crash, Pow

Went the Pinata.

Oh my gosh is it my turn? I am so excited for candy.

Wow! I banged it so hard!

AAA! I am getting crowded by a bunch of tiny people!

I do not know how many candy I got but its pretty big.
